CDC comment on data element- Result Released Date/Time
CDC recommends that ONC should transition the Result Released Date/Time from Level 0 maturity to formal inclusion in USCDI and include it as part of Laboratory Results. This represents the date and time the result was reviewed, verified, and made available to providers. Rationale: Result Released Date/Time identifies when a verified laboratory result became available for clinical use. This timing is important for quality measurement, clinical decision-making, and accurately evaluating care processes based on when results were available to the provider.
